C-ID, the Course Identification Numbering System, is a faculty-driven system that was initially developed to assign identifying designations (C-ID numbers) to significant transfer courses. C-ID addresses the need for a “common course numbers” by providing a mechanism to identify comparable courses.
OERI, Open Educational Resource Initiative, is an ASCCC initiative to expand the availability and adoption of high-quality open educational resources for California Community Colleges. The OERI coordinates the development of OER texts, and supports local OER implementation through the OERI Liaison program, professional development, and technical support and resources.
The ASCCC Guided Pathways Task Force supports faculty and local academic senates as they participate in the development and implementation of a guided pathways framework.
The Foundation of the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges was established as a partner organization to the ASCCC. The Foundation's mission is to support professional development for faculty, and to promote a variety of activities and strategies to advance teaching and learning.
Intersegmental Committee of the Academic Senates (ICAS) promotes student accessibility to, and success in, higher education in California: CCC, CSU, and UC. It meets jointly to address matters of academic importance to all three segments.
