5. COVID-19 Safety Measures

5.1. The health and safety of all attendees and staff at ASCCC Events and Conferences remains our top priority. The ASCCC will continue to closely monitor government mandates, policy changes, local venue guidelines, and public health announcements to inform our approach and keep you up to date with new developments to ensure a coordinated effort and a safe environment for all ASCCC Event attendees. Please check this page periodically as information is subject to change.

5.2  COVID-19 Vaccinations and Indoor Events of Less than 1,000 Attendees.  As information pertaining to COVID-19 requirements is ever evolving, we will continue to update as needed based on state, local and venue requirements.

5.3  Face-Coverings. Masks are no longer required indoors in California, with a few exceptions below. But they are still strongly recommended. The ASCCC will continue to follow local and venue guidelines related to vaccinations and face-coverings. Your local area may have more. We encourage you to check your area’s COVID-19 website.

  • Everyone is required to wear masks in:

          * Public transportation (including buses, taxis, and ride share services), and in stations, terminals, and airports.

5.4 Hand Sanitizer Stations. There will be sanitizing systems easily accessible to everyone throughout the event.

5.5 Spacing Measures. Social distancing practices will be implemented at all ASCCC events when possible.

5.6 Health and Safety Signage. Signage will be placed to remind all attendees to social distance and frequently wash and sanitize their hands. Signage will encourage face coverings at the event.

5.7 Screening. Conference attendees, staff, and presenters will be required to participate in a wellness check before they receive their event badge. Everyone will be asked the following questions before they will receive their badge and gain entry into the conference:

  • In the past 24 hours, have you experienced COVID-19 symptoms?
  • Have you or people whom you have close contact with, like someone who lives in your house, a relative, a friend, or a co-worker
