Demystifying CBE

Join faculty colleagues from Coastline and Southwestern Colleges to learn about Competency Based Education (CBE). Competency-Based Education (CBE) is an educational approach that focuses on mastering specific skills or competencies rather than solely completing a certain number of courses or accumulating credit hours. This method emphasizes the demonstration of proficiency in defined areas, enabling learners to progress at their own pace. By providing a more flexible and personalized learning experience, CBE aims to address individual student needs and promote a deeper understanding of the subject matter.
