CSU withdrew its 4CSD proposal once presented with these demands, shared by others in the California Community College System.
Whereas, The proposed 4CSU (CCC-CSU) Dual Admissions Program does not address the issues of statewide access and equity to CSU impacted majors;
Whereas, The articulation for preparation for majors for various CSU programs is not complete or not available on ASSIST; and
Whereas, Budget cuts have reduced matriculation services vital to the provision of transfer services;
Resolved, That the Academic Senate oppose the current proposed 4CSU Dual Admissions Program (draft as of November 1, 2002) until:
1) access to the impacted programs and equity are guaranteed for all students at CSU;
2) full articulation is complete for preparation for all majors for CSUs; and
3) there is a substantial increase in funding for staffing and resources needed to enact matriculation, counseling, and articulation services.
